Companies choose the Lisbon Metropolitan Area

The D&B Barometer also points out that the creation of new companies specifically in this area slightly exceeded the 2019 metrics, when 19,598 new business organizations were registered, while in 2022 the number rose to 19,739.

The North region of the country witnessed a growth of only 5% in terms of the creation of new companies, which represents a large distance from the numbers achieved pre-pandemic. In 2022, 14,235 companies were created in the North, 1,500 less than in 2019.
