FAQs
Is there any part of the home buying process that is not included in your services?
No. LACA will assist you in all parts of the process so that it is done safely and legally.
In which stages of the process does LACA operate?
Immediately after the client chooses the property, LACA will carry out a due diligence on the property, and represent it in the promissory purchase agreement and in the deed.
How is the promissory agreement signed, if I live outside Portugal?
The terms and conditions of the promissory agreement (also called CPCV) are always agreed with the parties involved. We always inform our client of the evolution of the negotiations and the final version reached by the parties. We do not sign any promissory agreement without the client having knowledge of its content.
If I cannot attend the deed, what will I have to do to have me represented?
For the deed, a power of attorney with special powers for this purpose must always be previously granted to us. The content of the power of attorney may vary from case to case (for example, if there is financing associated with the business). The power of attorney must be authenticated by a notary in the country of residence and apostilled by the competent authority in that country. The original must be sent to us.
