Programa Regressar (Part III)

Nationality, Non-habitual Resident, Visas and Residence Permits
programa regressar

This Monday, July 22, applications for the Programa Regressar have opened. A program that seeks to support the return of all emigrants or Portuguese-descendants who wish to return to work in mainland Portugal.

The Secretary of State for Employment, Miguel Cabrita, considers that the Programa Regressar aims to respond to a “need of the country”, where there has been a lack of labor in several regions.

“It makes sense that when we need more people to continue the country’s growth trajectory, let’s talk to them first. We want to show that the country is finally generating job opportunities, economic growth and is a safe country and there is a strong desire on the side of Portugal to attract these people”, said Miguel Cabrita.

According to José Luís Carneiro, Secretary of State of the Portuguese Communities, the Programa Regressar has already aroused the interest of Portuguese and Luso-descendant workers who are currently in countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Canada and Angola.

If you are interested in participating, read the Lamares, Capela & Associados blog about the requirements and to which each participant is entitled.
