Luso-Cape Verdean Summit

On the occasion of the Twentieth Luso-Cape Verdean Summit, Lamares, Capela & Associados had the pleasure of being present on April 12, 2019 at the reception ceremony in honor of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Cape Verde and the Cape Verdean Community in Portugal, Ulisses Correia e Silva, in the Estufa Fria de Lisboa.

On this occasion, the partner Diogo Capela had the opportunity to speak with the Prime Minister of Cape Verde about the strategic partnership between Cape Verde and Portugal, especially in terms of immigration and investments.

That same week we were present at the 2nd Cape Verde Development Forum that took place in Cascais and where some topics of enormous relevance to Cape Verde were addressed such as:

  • The challenges of the maritime economy;
  • The future of renewable energies;
  • The strategic importance of tourism;
  • New information and communication technologies.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Cape Verde in Portugal, Eurico Monteiro, and the Minister of Tourism and Transport and Minister of the Maritime Economy of Cape Verde, José da Silva Gonçalves, with whom we had the opportunity to discuss some related topics with the attraction of investments in Cape Verde and the good relations between Portugal and Cape Verde in economic cooperation.
